Ralph Lauren Tames the Wild West with a Chic but Cosy Autumn Winter Collection

Join us for a close up of the new Ralph Lauren collection for autumn/winter 2015 shown at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in New York. Fashion One gives you a VIP front row seat to enjoy highlights from the stunning runway presentation.

The latest collection from the American powerhouse designer featured a subtle Western theme with a combined mix of cowboys and Native Americans referenced in suede fringing, ponchos, beaded jewelry and furs, all amidst tuxedo suits, elegant knitwear and exquisitely embellished evening wear.

Feathered skirts, intarsia fur bomber jackets and suede leggings were shown alongside turtleneck lace gowns, chic masculine pant suits and leather blazers in a palette of black, white and soft cappuccino browns. The earthy hues created the perfect sophisticated city slicker cowgirl look as wide brimmed felt hats were paired with flowing poncho jackets worn over high necked knits tucked into sturdy straight leg pants, all finished off with an over-sized belt buckle.

Evening wear included a set of cool minimal strapless black gowns alongside a striking halter neck piece with a plunging neckline. There were also eye catching beaded pieces and a floor length shimmering golden gown accessorized with a fur trapper hat and matching elbow length fur trimmed gloves, perhaps making this is the perfect attire for a grown-up western party girl.
