A Trip Down the Amazon at Erdem Spring/Summer 2015 London Fashion Week
The décor for the romantic show, which was held at the Old Selfridges Hotel, was reminiscent of the Amazon jungle, with plants lining the runway and the catwalk itself was different shades of speckled blue—not unlike a river.
English fashion model and stylist Daisy Lowe attended the show, saying, “I’ve always been a big fan of his. He always surprises me but he always keeps that high standard of absolute luxury.” Of the show itself, she declared, “I loved it! It was so dreamy and beautiful and I just adored it. I want so much of it! All of those sheer dresses at the end were just absolutely stunning.”
Elegant ensembles of high-waisted A-line midi skirts and crop tops are set to remain on trend for spring and summer 2015, and the color palette contained whites, blues, shades of green and plenty of leafy prints. Full skirts, English lace, embroidery and plenty of sheer elements allowing hints of bare skin to peep through were also showcased.
Necklines predominantly reflected the elegant fashion of the Victorians with high collars, but a few low-cut dresses could be seen in the collection.
Hair was kept simple, with sleek, straight hair, clean center partings and simple braids, as was makeup, which was minimal with light, dewy skin, bright eyes, subtle highlighting and a hint of color on lips and cheeks.
